We are seeking a skilled Senior Python Engineer with experience in Gen AI to join a Project for our Client, an American financial data and software company.
In this role, you will contribute to developing a GenAI service that converts natural language financial queries into API requests to retrieve the required data. This API Recommendation Service will be leveraged in multiple Data Solutions chatbots exposed on client-facing sites such as the Developer Portal. The API Recommendation Service will be one of several services that the chatbots will use to answer questions.
It's a fully remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from any location in Poland, whether it's your home or one of our well-equipped offices in Gdańsk, Katowice, Kraków, Łódź, Warsaw, or Wrocław.
Responsibilities
- Develop a GenAI service to translate natural language financial queries into API requests for data retrieval
- Enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the API Recommendation Service
- Investigate the integration of a federation layer for Data Solutions chatbots
- Assess the effectiveness of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) in interacting with FactSet APIs compared to the existing method
- Devise and implement accuracy metrics for the API Recommendation Service
- Contribute to the team with your knowledge and programming expertise, while striving for remarkable performance
- Gain insights from skilled colleagues and share your own expertise with team members
- Engage collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Python programming
- Understanding of LLMs, tool-calling, MCP evaluation, and fine-tuning, without requiring deep internal knowledge
- Familiarity with vector database operations and integration
- Knowledge of OpenAPI standard
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Competency in implementing LLM safety mechanisms and guardrails
- Background in web frameworks such as FastAPI
- Capability to deploy applications using AWS or other cloud service providers
- Skills in working with Vector Databases
