We are looking for a skilled Senior Project Engineer with expertise in power production and distribution to join our Electrical Solutions team. This role will primarily work on projects with AC distribution systems.
Location: Fornebu or Ulsteinvik, Norway
Your Responsibilities
- Dimension and design of AC Swichboards, protection relay logic, generators and AVR.
- Coordinate with shipyards, shipowners, classification societies, ABB factories, and subcontractors
- Ensure technical quality and compliance throughout project deliveries
- Provide technical support during commissioning phases.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites, suppliers, and shipyards
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical power system design
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering—or relevant experience as a ship electrician.
- Strong understanding of power system dynamics, generators, protection relays, and switchboards
- Ability to combine practical skills with theoretical knowledge
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
