The Network Technology department is responsible for Akamai's underlying Platform Technology. The team drives technical change. Develop effective and competitive solutions that redefine the EDGE platform. Moreover, we ensure Akamai continues to be a stakeholder in the future of the world.
Partner with the best
As a Senior Product Manager, you'll be responsible for developing our network automation and network software product portfolio. You'll definine long-term product strategy, individual product life-cycles and roadmaps. You'll also coordinate those with the business unit management and sales representatives and align them with their go-to-market roadmaps.
As a Product Manager Senior, you will be responsible for:
- Defining Network Technologies' long-term product strategy, individual product life-cycles and roadmaps
- Working directly with business units to evaluate and PoC new product innovations and execution for products
- Developing comprehensive business analysis and financial models to support business cases and long-term product planning.
- Acting as an expert in industry trends and the landscape relevant to the direct and adjacent markets
- Developing and analyzing Network Technologies product KPI's and operational product metrics
- Advising product teams, business units and other internal stakeholders
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have relevant experience and a solid understanding of Product Management principles
- Have ability to assess new markets, analyze business opportunities and execute against them
- Have a background in Product Management with Network and Software Engineering teams
- Possess understanding of CDN, networking, interconnection and cloud technologies
- Have understanding of product management discipline including product lifecycle management
- Have ability to gather data from the market and customers to analytically determine business priorities
