Job Description
As a Senior Software Engineer at zooplus, you will contribute to building and evolving internal applications that support our corporate users in managing replenishment and operational purchasing processes across Europe. Unlike customer-facing systems, our focus is on delivering robust, efficient, and user-friendly tools that streamline internal workflows and decision-making.
You will join a collaborative Agile team and participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation and maintenance. This role is ideal for someone with solid backend development experience and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain backend services using modern Java technologies
- Collaborate with Product Owners and team members to design solutions that meet business needs
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/deployment processes
- Help ensure the reliability and performance of applications used by internal stakeholders

- Java 17+ (core language)

- Microservices architecture

- Kubernetes, Docker

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in software development with Java
- Interest in building complete solutions, not just writing code
- Commitment to clean, modular code and good design practices
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Nice to have:
- Willingness to learn frontend development (React, Angular)
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Exposure to monitoring tools and DevOps practices
This will be 15 months Fixed Term Contract for Maternity Cover.
