Our client, a renowned technology company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Oracle Engineer to join their Databases Platform team in Krakow, Poland. Position Overview
As a Senior DevOps Oracle Engineer, you will play a crucial role in administering and optimizing Oracle databases automation for optimal performance and reliability. This position involves developing and maintaining shell scripts for automation, managing YUM repositories, creating RPM packages, and performing Linux system administration and troubleshooting in line with Oracle databases. You will also integrate APIs to streamline database operations and collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize Oracle databases automation for performance and reliability
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation
- Automate tasks using Ansible
- Manage YUM repositories and create RPM packages
- Perform Linux system administration and troubleshooting in line with Oracle databases
- Integrate APIs to streamline database operations
- Apply patches, upgrades, and troubleshoot database issues
- Collaborate with teams and ensure compliance with security standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA with understanding of Oracle deployed in various patterns e.g. RAC, Dataguard, and VCS
- Expertise in shell scripting, Ansible, and Linux administration
- Experience with YUM repositories and RPM packaging
- Knowledge of APIs and SQL Server is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Good understanding of Agile Methodology and DevOps Practices and tools
- Preferred: Certification in Oracle Database Administration, Linux Administration, or SQL Server Database Administration
