Project description
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our client's team (investment bank) and support the development and deployment of cloud-native applications. This role focuses on infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline management, and cloud operations, primarily within the Azure ecosystem. You'll work closely with development teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient delivery of software solutions, leveraging modern DevOps tools and practices.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using: Azure services, with a focus on AKS, Azure Web Apps, PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Cosmos DB, and Azure Service Bus.
Manage identity and access using Azure Identity Management (Service Principals, Managed Identities).
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, following best practices for disaster recovery, high availability, and cost optimization.
Deploy applications using HELM charts and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and Azure DevOps (YAML-based).
Package and manage artifacts using Maven, Gradle, NPM, and Nexus Repository.
Integrate static code analysis tools like Fortify and SonarQube into the development lifecycle.
Manage secrets securely using HashiCorp Vault Enterprise.
Monitor systems using Azure Monitoring, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Write and maintain Bash and Python scripts for automation and troubleshooting.
Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.
Skills
Must have
Proven track of experience in: Cloud & Infrastructure (Azure-focused).
Deep expertise in Azure Cloud Services, especially: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Web Apps, PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Identity Management (Service Principals, User Assigned Managed Identities), and Cosmos DB.
Proficiency in Terraform (including best practices for DR, HA, and cost optimization), HELM (for Kubernetes deployments), GitLab CI/CD (pipeline design, templating, and maintenance), and Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML).
Experience with Maven, Gradle, and NPM for artifact packaging, containerization and container image creation, and artifact management using Nexus Repository.
Knowledge of Fortify and SonarQube for static code analysis and HashiCorp Vault Enterprise for secrets management.
Strong skills in Bash and Python scripting, and comfortable with Linux OS administration and troubleshooting.
Nice to have
Familiarity with Azure Monitoring, Prometheus, and Grafana for metrics and dashboards.
