Preparation and supervision of technical documentation in both 3D and 2D formats (classification, production, and procurement documentation) in compliance with Classification Society regulations and contractual requirements
Providing technical support and mentoring to members of the design team
Analysis of production non-conformities and optimization of design processes about efficiency, cost, and compliance with design assumptions
Cross-departmental coordination and technical alignment with Classification Society representatives, suppliers, and subcontractors, including participation in design and interdepartmental meetings
Review and quality control of design documentation delivered by internal and external designers
Reporting on project progress and identifying design issues
Requirements
Experience in designing steel structures and marine equipment for ships or yachts, including prototype components
Solid knowledge of material strength, kinematic systems design, and metalworking technologies (stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum)
Proficiency in creating and reviewing 2D documentation according to classification requirements for ships or yachts, and the ability to supervise the technical and production design process
Understanding of welding processes, including welding technologies and quality standards relevant to the design and certification of steel structures
Proficiency in using SolidWorks and AutoCAD (or equivalent design software)
Strong communication skills and fluency in English (minimum B2/C1), allowing effective technical collaboration with clients and external partners
Familiarity with FEM calculations (Finite Element Method) will be considered an advantage
