Job Title: Android Engineer
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Work Model: Hybrid (2 Days/Week)
Overview:
- We are seeking a Senior Android Software Engineer to join the Android team
- This role involves developing and maintaining the client’s app across Mobile Android TV and Fire TV platforms
Must have requirements:
- Proficiency in Modern Android Development MAD best practices
- Proven experience in developing and shipping at least one Android application to the Play Store with ongoing maintenance
- Strong knowledge of the Android View System and Jetpack Compose
- Handson experience with background services Work Manager and Kotlin Coroutines and Flows
- Comfortable collaborating with distributed teams with working hours overlapping with Pacific Time 8AM 12PM PT
- Proven experience collaborating with product management to define and implement Android feature specifications including contributing to business cases requirements documentation and product roadmaps
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Nice to have requirements
- Experience implementing accessibility A11Y features on Android
- Proficiency in writing unit tests and Android UI tests using Espresso
- Familiarity with video streaming technologies such as HLS MPEGDASH and Widevine DRM
- Experience working with ExoPlayer
- Experience developing for Android TV and Amazon Fire TV
- Knowledge of RxJava
