As a Project Engineer at EMEA Engineering Team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading engineering projects through multi-disciplinary teams.
- Integrating manufacturing and laboratory business issues/needs into project planning.
- Controlling project costs and schedules, and presenting project status and results to business partners, suppliers, team members and appropriate management.
- Project management of, complex capital investment projects at our EMEA manufacturing plants ($5k – $15M)
- Work may include scoping, specification, funding approval, supplier selection, design, construction, factory acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, site acceptance testing, optimization and product/process qualification and handover to customer
- Manage performance, deadlines, resources, budget and risks of your projects
- Lead one or more cross-functional project teams with high level of autonomy
- Performing feasibility studies front end work
- Monitoring and coordination of external service providers involved in the project
- Internal and external communication up to executive level at 3M and our business partners
- Preparation and implementation of project meetings and review meetings
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor or Master / Diploma degree in Engineering discipline (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or related)
- Min. 5 years of hands-on capital project leadership experience in the field of manufacturing process equipment
- Strong knowledge and extensive experience in the field of manufacturing capital investment engineering project management
- Demonstrated strong project team leadership, and business acumen
- Structured working, high resilience and ability to work in complex manufacturing environment
- High communication and teamwork skills, build networks
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to senior management - both written and verbal
- Language skills: proficiency in Polish and English
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Hands-on capital project leadership experience in the field of facility/utility
- Formal project management qualification e.g. PMI certification
- Agile PM experience
- Lean 6-sigma qualification

Job specifics:
- Full-time employment
- Main workplace of employed person will be Poland – Wroclaw but employee will be part of regional, EMEA engineering team and will collaborate with members form multiply countries.
- Travel expectations: 35% of the working time could be in EMEA outside of your home base
