Become a key driver in DFDS’ largest digital-transformation initiative
The Atlas Programme is rolling out Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) to more than 30 markets and 70 entities, replacing every legacy ERP on our journey toward a greener, fully digitised future. You will join the Programme’s Process Improvements team, where you will own the programme’s change control process and lead cross-functional projects end-to-end making sure that the way we work continuously improves—for the benefit of Finance, Procurement and the entire business of DFDS.
Your main responsibilities will be to …
- Lead and deliver cross-functional initiatives that simplify, optimise and standardise Finance- and Procurement-related processes in (and around) D365 F&O.
- Own and drive the ITIL-based change-control framework for Atlas: chair the Change Advisory Board, govern the end-to-end workflow from request to deployment, and ensure every change meets quality, compliance and sustainability goals.
- Evaluate existing workflows as assigned, identify root causes of inefficiency, design data-driven solutions, secure buy-in, and drive implementation—measuring benefits after go-live.
- Map as-is and to-be processes using Visio, SmartDraw or equivalent tools, maintain clear documentation, and guarantee alignment with our global ERP architecture.
- Translate business requirements into actionable project plans and coordinate multiple workstreams—balancing scope, budget and timeline while managing risk.
- Engage, communicate and negotiate with stakeholders at every level—from end-users to C-suite—ensuring adoption, training and lasting behavioural change.
- Coordinate with solution architects, developers and release managers to land changes smoothly into production, safeguarding data integrity and service continuity.
Must-have competencies & experience
- Practical experience from Application Management Services running the change process in IT Operations using your insights into ITIL or similar framework.
- Project management experience of complex (but not necessarily large) projects—you proactively push initiatives forward and remove roadblocks.
- Proven process-optimisation and continuous-improvement track record in Finance, Procurement or similar back-office domains.
- Hands-on process-mapping and visualisation skills plus confident requirement-gathering, root-cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Fluent stakeholder communicator across functions, cultures and seniority levels.
- Conceptual understanding of functional areas such as Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain or Shared Services.
Highly desired if you have
- Experience in ERP ecosystems—ideally Microsoft D365 F&O Familiarity with multi-country ERP roll-outs.
- Formal CI/quality toolkits: Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, Value-Stream Mapping, TIMWOOD, BPR.
- Advanced proficiency with Visio, SmartDraw or similar for process design.
- Exposure to data-analytics, RPA or AI solutions that boost process performance.
- Prince2, PMI or IPMA, ITIL Practitioner/Managing Professional certification.Prior worked in shipping, logistics or other asset-heavy, multinational environments.
Practicalities
Occasional travel to other DFDS locations - mainly in Northern Europe - will be part of the job.
