Site Lead, Poland
SimCorp's Poland office, located in Warsaw, was established in 2015 and has grown rapidly over the years currently exceeding 550 employees incl. contingent workers. This growth reflects the site’s important role in delivering high-quality services and innovative solutions across various business functions, encompassing Engineering, Client Services, and Corporate operations.
In response to the continued growth and the strategic importance of the site, we are introducing a distinguished new position – Site Lead, Poland. This leadership role is designed to oversee local office operations, foster employees’ engagement, and cultivate a thriving professional environment.
This role will be part of the global team of other site leaders and will act as a liaison for the organization, ensuring effective communication between our global teams and the local offices.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a matrix environment being motivated in identifying what is needed to mature and grow the site while at the same time ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, drive initiatives for continuous improvement, and act as a connection between SimCorp top management, the global teams and the Poland office. The role represents a unique opportunity to lead a pivotal site within SimCorp’s global framework and contribute to its sustained growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Culture Champion: Promote and uphold SimCorp’s values and culture within the local office. Ensure engagement and mobilize needed teams to ensure feedback provided is actioned
- Site Strategy: Ensure the site is fit for purpose in terms of talent attraction, retention, and efficiency; own the execution of growth and maturing strategies. Ensure hybrid work model enforcement and support the SimCorp brand recognition in Poland
- Office Management (facility and cost): Support the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the office, including logistics, facilities management, and employee support. Own budget management for the entire site and be familiar with local finance rules and requirements
- Point of Contact and Support: Act as the liaison between local employees and global teams, ensuring alignment, effective communication, and regular reporting on location performance metrics. Collaborate with functional managers to share observations and support people development
- Communication and Strategy Updates: Inform the site about company-wide strategy and development through regular updates and senior leader visits; synchronize messaging with regional and global management teams
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with local regulations and health & safety standards.
- Legal, Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local tax and government regulations and that company policies adhere to such rules. Ensuring legal reviews on matters to protect the company
- Business Continuity (incl. geopolitical risks): Ensure company’s resilience and stability of operations in a volatile environment
- Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee external service providers for quality and cost-effectiveness incl. close cooperation with the local contingent worker providers
- Lead Site-Wide Townhalls and Key Events: Create an avenue to gather all employees, provide top-down updates, amplify global strategies and initiatives, highlight key wins, good news and great work of local members, address questions and concerns
Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex problems in a structured manner and break them into relevant and actionable insights
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with local business practices, labor law and regulations in Poland
- Experience of working in large, global companies with globally distributed teams
- Strong understanding of community building and employee engagement strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to synchronize messaging across different levels of the organization.
- Ability to navigate across matrix structures and lead through influence
