Oracle DBA Expert (DevOps)

We are looking for you, if you have:

• a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent in computer science,
• minimum 6 - 8 years of relevant work eperience in a comple IT environment,
• etensive knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture, Performance Tuning, Data Management (OCP-OCM eperience or equivalent),
• eperience with Oracle Eadata and Multitenant Architecture,
• knowledge of, and eperience with troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve comple database issues promptly,
• eperience with capacity planning,
• PL/SQL knowledge,
• eperience in working with Linu RHEL,
• knowledge of, and eperience with ELK stack and other monitoring and alerting solutions like Grafana and Prometheus,
• scripting eperience with one or more scripting languages or automation solutions (Ansible, Korn/Bash Shell, Python) to automate routine database task,
• strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

English level – C1

You'll get etra points for:

• knowledge of, and eperience with continues delivery tools like GIT, Azure DevOps, and Azure pipeline,
• eperience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and an understanding of system reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance,

Your responsibilities:

• collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment,
• lead the design and implementation of database configurations,
• drive automation initiatives using modern scripting and programming techniques,
• manage and epand robust database solutions that power ING's databases,
• ensure the database security and performance of critical banking systems,
• pioneer innovative solutions for comple database challenges,
• identify and mitigate risks to minimize incidents, outages, and enhance the customer eperience,
• advise squads on efficient resource usage, lifecycle management, and capacity planning,
• assist squads with performance optimization and SQL tuning,
• organizing knowledge sharing and awareness sessions for Oracle consumers across the company,
• conducting reliability interviews with Asset Owners to enhance database reliability,
• lead and coordinate strategic projects, collaborating with other IT teams as needed,
• bring senior-level epertise to the team, sharing knowledge and best practices with the ING Oracle community.

Information about the squad:

As an Oracle epert, you'll become part of the Oracle Epert Team within WB Tech.

You will work in close collaboration with internationally diversified squads in ING's Agile organization to achieve the commitments.

The Oracle Epert Team is a specialized group of professionals with deep epertise in Oracle technologies, responsible for the design, implementation, management, optimization, and support of Oracle-based systems within an organization. The team's primary objective is to ensure that Oracle databases and related applications perform at their best, remain secure, and align with the organization’s business and technical goals.
In collaboration with your team, you will play a key role in keeping ING at the forefront of IT standards while continuously driving improvements.
The chapter is responsible for consulting squads to help them manage their systems in line with best practices.

We support Oracle consumers by proactively identifying potential risks before they become issues, assisting them on performance improvements, keeping blocking database issues on track, and enhancing database reliability .

We support squads to embrace proactive approach to reduce incidents and outages, ultimately improving the overall customer eperience.
