Material Management Officer (m/f/d)

About the Team
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Material Scheduler with solid SAP expertise to support our automotive aftermarket operations. In this role, you will manage material availability, and maintain optimized inventory levels for a fast-paced, high-demand environment. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of SAP MM module and a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics.
What you can look forward to as Material Management Officer (m/f/d):
- Material Planning and Scheduling: Plan and schedule material requirements in SAP to support customer demand, production schedules, and inventory targets;
- MRP Analysis and Actions: Analyze and act on MRP results to ensure materials are ordered, delivered, and available on time to avoid production delays or customer backorders;
- Coordination and Collaboration: Coordinate closely with purchasing, production, logistics, and warehouse teams to resolve material shortages, delays, or excess inventory;
- SAP Data Maintenance: Maintain accurate SAP master data, including planning parameters, lead times, and safety stock levels;
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier delivery performance and initiate corrective actions as needed to maintain service level agreements (SLAs);
- Inventory Management and Reporting: Review and adjust safety stock and reorder points to support demand volatility in the aftermarket sector, and generate and interpret reports on inventory health, service levels, and planning performance;
- Support and Continuous Improvement: Support new product introductions (NPIs) and end-of-life planning for aftermarket SKUs, and identify continuous improvement opportunities in scheduling, material flow, and SAP utilization.
Your Profile as Material Management Officer (m/f/d):
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in material scheduling or production planning in a manufacturing or aftermarket environment;
- Hands-on experience with SAP (MM, PP, or APO modules) in material planning;
- Preferred experience in automotive or automotive aftermarket;
- Strong knowledge of MRP, supply chain best practices, and inventory optimization;
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments and with external suppliers, fluent English;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting tools or dashboards is a plus;
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to work in a high-SKU, customer-driven environment.
