Job Title: Lead Infrastructure Architect
Location: Cracow, Poland
The Lead Architect plays a critical role in designing and governing the IT infrastructure landscape that supports research, development, manufacturing, and commercial operations globally. The architectural vision will enable scalability, agility, security, and compliance in support of Galderma's business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the global IT infrastructure architecture strategy across Hosting, Cloud, Network, and Workplace domains within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
- Own and evolve the infrastructure reference architectures and design patterns, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business needs.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Global Head of Infrastructure Services, shaping modernization efforts, emerging technology adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure architectural alignment and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11), internal IT standards, and cybersecurity policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, Commercial, and Compliance teams to ensure infrastructure meets performance, availability, and regulatory demands.
- Lead architectural governance and participate in enterprise architecture boards and infrastructure steering committees.
- Drive innovation and best practices in cloud computing, automation, zero-trust networking, and digital workplace services.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate technology platforms to support global operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 5 years in an enterprise architecture or infrastructure strategy leadership role.
- Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector, with a solid understanding of industry-specific regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record in leading global infrastructure transformation initiatives, including hybrid cloud, datacenter migrations, enterprise networking, modern workplace services, and Operation Technologies in manufacturing environments.
- Subject matter expertise in at least two infrastructure domains: Hosting (on-prem / hybrid), Public/Private Cloud, Network Architecture, or End-User Computing.
- Experience with GxP-compliant infrastructure solutions and validation processes.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and modern IT service management practices (e.g., ITIL).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP), enterprise networking (e.g., CCIE), and architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) are strongly preferred.
- Experience with regulated environments and audit readiness is a plus.
