As a member of GE Aviation Field Services engineering team, you will deliver solutions for field service of GE aircraft engines. In this role you will design, analyze, and evaluate rotating mechanical components in the High Pressure Turbine module. Your primary focus will be on solving field problems in collaboration with customer interfacing teams, overhaul shops and repair engineering. You may participate in a new product introduction or product improvement.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute and conduct design, analysis, and evaluation to meet the product requirements.

  • Collaborate with customer interfacing teams, overhaul shops and repair engineering on solving hardware field problems.

  • Work collaboratively with engineers from adjacent hardware, materials, stress analysis, heat transfer and engine system integration.

  • Recommend approaches to solving production problems which meet technical and schedule requirements.

  • Complete documentation of technical data for the assigned projects

  • Present work results during technical or program reviews

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or closely related field of Engineering

  • Knowledge of English language at communicative level

  • Broad knowledge of mechanical design & analysis, materials, and manufacturing processes

  • Prior experience in mechanical design, or related field

  • Focus on learning and self-development

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of mechanical analysis software and Unigraphics

  • Experience in working in cross functional teams in international organization

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Basic project management skills

  • Understanding of fundamentals of aircraft engine design
