Junior Hedge Fund Accountant
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Preferably min. 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hedge fund or financial services industry
Knowledge and understanding of various types of financial instruments (equities, bonds, ETD/OTC derivatives, corporate actions)
Familiarity with financial software and systems, such as accounting platforms or portfolio management tools
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating a collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues to achieve common goals.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Net Asset Value (NAV) Calculation: Prepare accurate and timely Net Asset Value calculations for simple hedge funds, ensuring delivery in accordance with client service agreements.
Issue Escalation: Identify and report any operational or technical issues to senior staff or the Team Leader, facilitating escalation with relevant teams to prevent potential delays in delivery.
Knowledge Development: Participate in cross-training initiatives within the team to expand knowledge and skills, reducing dependency on individual team members and promoting a culture of shared expertise.
Stakeholder Management: Foster close relationships with team members, internal clients, and external clients to facilitate effective information exchange, ensuring smooth and timely issue resolution.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all NAV calculations are delivered accurately and on time, meeting the requirements of client service agreements and maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
