We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Linux Platform Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the building blocks of Linux-based systems, including bootloaders, drivers, and software packages. Responsibilities
- Developing Bootloaders, Linux drivers for custom hardware designs.
- Developing high quality software as well as unit and component tests within a continuous integration environment
- Integrating new packages into existing integration environment.
- Supporting the Company product line by providing expertise related to low level software / Linux domain area.
- Co-ordinating with the Team Lead & team members to meet project objectives
- Participating in end to end system QA testing
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in low-level Linux development,
- Experience in debugging bootloaders, Linux kernel, and cross-compilation challenges.
- Strong grasp of Linux integration environments, preferably Yocto.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Proficiency in source code revision control, especially GIT.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable Criteria:
- Practical experience with Yocto/Buildroot integration environments
- Familiarity with Linux BSPs (Board Support Packages).
- Hands-on experience developing U-Boot & Linux kernel drivers.
- Ability to comprehend electronic schematics.
- Familiarity with Hardware bring up and understanding of peripherals like I2C, SPI, UART etc
- Knowledge of Linux system-level programming.
- Familiarity with Linux filesystems
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.
