Job Description
About the Role
This part-time internship is ideal for students eager to build their expertise in PCIe technologies and validation frameworks. While the focus will be on PCIe validation, you will also assist in FPGA design and testing tasks, gaining exposure to both areas. Work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to impactful, real-world projects in hardware validation and design.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- PCIe Validation: Perform validation and debugging of PCIe protocols, features, and hardware designs in next-generation systems.
- Testing Frameworks: Develop and maintain validation scripts and tools for automation using Python or other scripting languages.
- Collaborate on PCIe Testing: Support hardware bring-up, lab testing, and functional validation of PCIe subsystems.
- FPGA Support: Assist in FPGA tasks such as design, simulation, and testing using VHDL, as required.
- Team Improvement: Collaborate with the team to improve workflows and validation practices for future projects.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- PCIe Fundamentals: Understanding of PCIe protocols, signal integrity, and testing/validation concepts.
- Programming Skills: Familiarity with Python and/or C.
- Communication: Strong documentation and team collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have:
- FPGA Knowledge: Foundational understanding of FPGA architecture, digital design principles, and HDL languages like VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
- Simulation Tools: Experience with tools such as ModelSim or Vivado Simulator.
- Version Control: Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
- FPGA Toolchains: Exposure to Xilinx or Intel FPGA toolchains.
