The opportunity
The Integrated Planning Specialist role is responsible for managing the delivery of consistent integrated planning processes, governance and related administrative activities across the Clients & Industries organization. This position will be responsible for timely delivery, process improvement and contributing to a high performing team including mentoring other team members.
The position reports to the Integrated Planning Team Lead and will be aligned to one or more complex integrated planning activities.
Responsibilities may include execution of some or all the following integrated planning activities and processes:
- Global investment planning
- Market Segment execution planning
- Revenue planning
Your key responsibilities
Some or all the below will be applicable depending on the scope and Function alignment of the role. Responsible for managing the delivery of a range of integrated planning activities:
Integrated Planning
- Deployment and governance of a portfolio of integrated planning activities across the Clients & Industries function.
- Provide subject matter guidance and insights to support function teams in the efficient and accurate completion of all processes
- Global investment planning
- Market segment execution planning
- Revenue planning
Process improvement
- Proactively identify, prioritize and facilitate projects which drive innovative process improvement across the integrated planning landscape
- Advise on optimal planning solutions
- Provide constructive challenge and ensure the right planning outcomes aligned to Clients & Industries and Function priorities and objectives
Effective teaming
- Contribute to an inclusive and trusted team environment that ensures all Integrated Planning team members achieve their highest potential both individually and collectively
- Mentor and counsel junior Integrated Planning team members as appropriate
- Leverage and elevate GDS resource capability across the Clients & Industries integrated planning landscape
- Manage multiple Clients & Industries and external stakeholder relationships (Clients & Industries Function leaders, Finance, reporting, GDS, etc.) and interactions and identifying opportunities for effective collaboration
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
Some or all of the below will be applicable depending on the scope and Function alignment of the role:
- Apply knowledge of the business, resources, leveraging relationships, communications and operational effectiveness to anticipate, drive and deliver complex integrated planning projects and initiatives
- Provide strategic integrated planning insight and guidance.
- Possess a high level of complex, conceptual problem-solving ability
- Able to convert planning data or abstract concepts into sharp, compelling management information reporting
- Able to create and implement timelines related to project deliverables, deliver completed tasks and manage sponsor/stakeholder outcome expectations
- Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders often with competing priorities
- Provide input to project resource and funding need decisions
Supervision Responsibilities:
- May have counselling or coaching responsibilities for other Reporting team members
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience of integrated planning activities across a global matrix organization.
- Able to articulate and position reporting and planning issues and activities in the context of the function’s business issues and strategic priorities.
- Financial acumen with demonstrable ability to analyze market intelligence and business reporting and make practical recommendations based on that analysis.
- Strong program management skills
- A global mindset and ability to communicate and work effectively across cultures
- Proactive, forward looking and comfortable with taking the initiative.
- Demonstrated drive, determination and resilience, and track record of being able to overcome barriers and achieve results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to quickly establish personal credibility and influence.
- Strong executive presence and ability to build and sustain stakeholder relationships at the highest levels of the firm
- Able to work both independently and within teams, leading and motivating virtual, broad-based teams
- Resilient, agile and pragmatic under pressure.
- Intermediate skills in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Overtime will be required throughout the year and will vary based on volume of work
- Travel may be required from time to time to complete assignments and meet with organizational leaders and stakeholders
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate multiple time zones as needed
- Education : Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent qualification required
- Experience : 7-10 years of planning experience in a corporate environment
