Our requirements
- respected client facing partner in the VAT/GST community of Global Indirect Tax
- strong team leadership skills, including navigating political issues with senior stakeholders
- business/commercial mindset – experience with running a P&L
- compliance / process mindset with comfort speaking to (and selling) technology automation
- available to work in odd hours as required, given the nature of this global role.
- pathfinder able to navigate complex obstacles within KPMG network as we advance centralized delivery for IDT
- ability to travel internationally at ~30% of the time
Tasks
- ensure the necessary technology and automation requirements are developed and implemented for the solution, including business cases and budget for any new technology, and signs off on technology solution designs. This includes continuous improvement, automation opportunities and participating in setting up the vision for the design of the respective processes
- strong level of what is used in the market and where it is headed from a technology automation perspective, to advocate what is needed for KPMG to be leading edge – and then driving execution towards that vision
- determine and execute Location Strategy for KDN IDT (i.e. integration model between Hungary & Poland centers)
- leadership role model for Solution Ownership in KDN, effective manager of his/her team of direct reports, and strong influencer beyond
- deliver on global delivery operating model strategy for IDT, as defined by Global Tax & Legal
- key stakeholder management including Global Head of Indirect Tax, Member Firm Heads of IDT, and the Global Indirect Tax and Tax Reimagined communities. Participate in the various global leadership forums as appropriate as KDN’s Head of Indirect Tax
- KDN Engagement Partner (lead) for at least one significant IDT client. This is important to have a sense of the market
- accountable for KDN IDT meeting its productivity targets established (e.g. % reduction in YoY cost, cost-charge model targets, utilization, etc.), and collaborating with the center & delivery heads who are Responsible for meeting those KPIs
- provide inputs to Center Heads on the respective Solution’s people strategy overall to ensure that people factors and culture is measured and monitored on key metrics for the solution (e.g. KPIs for productivity at an employee level)
- ensures a BCP / DR (Business Continuity Plan / Disaster Recovery) strategy is developed and implemented, in collaboration with the KDN Center
- KDN Tax & Legal’s solutions (e.g. Indirect Tax Compliance, Global Mobility Services, Legal Managed Services, Transfer Pricing, etc.) each operate like a standalone business within the KDN member firm. The KDN Global Solution Lead (owner) is essentially a “mini-CEO” of that respective KDN business (KDN solution)
