Emergent Risk International (ERI), on behalf of a confidential client, is recruiting a Global Security Operations Center Lead to be based in Kyiv, Ukraine. The successful candidate will be employed by our client, with whom our chosen finalist/s candidates will interview after having completed interview rounds with ERI. This is an onsite, in person role in Kyiv, Ukraine and NOT A REMOTE ROLE.
This is an exciting opportunity to help launch, as well as lead, a brand new GSOC, the mission of which is to provide security support to a range of corporate clients with business operations in Ukraine. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader of personnel, have extensive experience in corporate risk intelligence analysis, and experience with GSOC operations. As this is a soon-to-be-launched operation that will acquire and support a range of clients, the successful candidate will also demonstrate flexibility as the GSOC develops new product lines and/or operations to fulfill new customer requirements.
In addition to the above, our client is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented GSOC Lead that has a strong grasp of geopolitical dynamics, economic trends, and regulatory landscapes, enabling them to provide and lead a team that provides actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. Proficiency in English, Ukrainian, and Russian is required.
Candidates will work onsite in Kyiv, Ukraine at the client’s global operations center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth political risk analysis to help clients navigate complex geopolitical environments.
- Perform economic and regulatory risk assessments to anticipate market fluctuations and policy shifts.
- Develop crisis management strategies and contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions.
- Carry out threat and vulnerability assessments to identify and minimize security risks.
- Provide security risk advisory services, including intelligence reporting and policy recommendations.
- Execute comprehensive due diligence investigations, such as corporate background checks and financial assessments.
- Conduct supply chain and vendor risk evaluations to enhance operational resilience.
- Assess reputational risks in partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Assist in compliance services, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks, KYC (Know Your Customer) reviews, and sanctions screening.
- Support physical security and duty of care initiatives, including travel risk management and workplace security evaluations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Significant prior experience working in a conflict zone, either in a military or private sector security environment.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead high-functioning teams in a dynamic environment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
- Strong data analysis and financial modeling capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of global political systems, economic trends, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in quantitative research methods and statistical analysis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, Ukrainian, and Russian is a must.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Familiarity with risk assessment tools, methodologies, and intelligence-gathering techniques.
