Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller/Junior Controller supporting mostly Global Hedge Desk activities– based in Poznan, Poland. The main purpose of this role is to be a finance professional working in a team providing accurate and insightful financial and management information, and to maintain an effective control environment within Valuation Team operations. Part-time, the person will be supporting EOL JV controlling activities.

Responsibilities:

• Performing the month-end close process for a production company
• Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reports and journal entries
• Monitoring completion of close and post-close activities with emphasis on timeliness and quality
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with reporting controls and standards: SOX, internal policies, accounting standards
• Collaboration with relevant business partners to provide insight and analysis of financial results
• Liaise with audit teams – both internal and external to ensure successful and timely completion of audit reviews
• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in process execution and revision

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in audit/controlling/finance (knowledge about P&L, BS reconciliation, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business-related field preferred (being an ACCA/CIMA member/student will be an advantage)
• Fluent in English
• Strong analytical abilities, initiative, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent user knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to meet demanding deadlines and adapt quickly to changing business needs
• Create a positive work environment through teamwork & conflict resolution
