Description
The Financial Analyst plays an important role for the Country Finance team and the EMEA FP&A department. This individual will be responsible for reporting performance of full product portfolio, financial forecasting, budgeting, metric & variance analyses, cost controls, ad hoc financial analysis, month-end close, and accounts reconciliation. In addition, daily tasks may include driving process and system automation improvements.
The Financial Analyst would develop strong relationships with all assigned business partners but maintain an objective mind in evaluating their performance as a group. This position will report directly to the Snr Finance Director, EEMA

Key Responsibilities
Financial planning & analysis activity:
- Identify Risks & Opportunities and provide decision support to Sales, Marketing and General Administrative business partners
- Act as Finance Business Partner
- Help to drive the business performance by partnering with the local senior management team to ensure understanding of dynamics of business related financial implications; set performance targets, monitor performance against KPIs, assess commercial risk and intervene to exploit opportunity or re-set course where necessary.
- Financial planning (Outlook, Forecast, Operating Plan). Includes rationalization of financial inputs for annual operating plan and quarterly/monthly forecasts, ensuring financial plans are linked with operating objectives
- Prepare Actual vs. Budget/Forecast analysis reporting for management on monthly & quarterly basis. Maintain standard financial metrics, helping business partners set financial benchmark goals as appropriate
- Actively support new business activities
- Enter Financial data to Financial Planning system
- Improve the efficiency of forecasting processes and tools as required
- Calculation of monthly commission bonuses for employees of commercial teams
- Other duties and ad hoc projects may be assigned
Other activities:
- Support the implementation of Global Corporate Policies as well as Accounting Treatment changes and US GAAP reporting. Identify accounting issues and assist in their resolution
- Prepare Journal Entries for accruals posting in ERP systems and perform accounts reconciliation
- Participate in finance related projects, particularly those related to ERP/systems transitions (for example, SAP)
- Actively propose and participate in the process and system automation improvements
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics – required. ACCA or equivalent - in progress is preferable
- 4+ years of experience in General accounting / External Audit and Financial analysis
- English - fluent
- Possess good knowledge of US GAAP
- Expert-level Excel skill a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision under high pressure, be results oriented and be able to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment
- Problem solver, system oriented, excellent communication and strong analytical skills. A proactive and self-starter attitude
- Experience of working with systems such as SAP, and BI tools
