Job Description
Join our dynamic Migration Factory team, the core engine driving technical transformation within the Solon project. We are looking for skilled Java developers to support end-to-end modernization of legacy systems, focusing on efficiency, standardization, and scalability while ensuring high quality.
You will be part of a long-term initiative to migrate and re-architect existing applications into a modern, event-driven ecosystem. Your role starts with technical modernization and evolves into the design and development of future-proof, Kafka-integrated components.
Responsibilities:
Migrate legacy applications using a standardized Migration Factory approach
Analyze high-level requirements and implement missing technical details
Collaborate with a high-performance team in a deep-end, fast-paced environment
Perform initial technical modernization of legacy systems
Participate in full re-modernization and architectural alignment with the “Landscape of the Future”
Design and develop event-driven components integrated with Apache Kafka
Qualifications
Strong experience in Java development
Solid knowledge of Spring Boot framework
Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, ideally using Apache Kafka
Proven track record in legacy system modernization and migration
Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments
Ability to work independently with minimal specifications
Sound understanding of design and integration patterns
Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and well-structured unit tests
Practical experience with PostgreSQL
