Inviting applications for the role of EMEA Payroll – Assistant Manager – English – Hybrid Wroclaw
The EMEA Payroll Team Leader is a key role within the Payroll Service Center responsible for the successful management payroll teams, of approximately 20 team members, the end-to-end payroll processes for around for 20 countries in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. His/her main mission is to drive the employee’s data completeness and correctness throughout our processes, systems and partners ensuring that it contributes to an accurate, compliant and on time payroll and downstream employee lifecycle data related processes.
The Payroll Team Leader also coordinates, on a regional level, the relationships with internal and external stakeholders, audit, and local and national government agencies as well as 3rd party vendors related to payroll processes. Should be a professional with experience leading scaled operations in the Life Science industry background.
Responsibilities
● Relevant experience in leading teams, be able to deliver optimum customer satisfaction and ensure that the teams remain engaged and motivated to grow their career with the organization.
· Leads the teams to ensure successful management of the Payroll process.
· Provides coaching, direction, and leadership support to team members to achieve business results.
· Ensure the team has the right skills and competencies to manage all programs, processes, procedures in compliance with countries payroll/tax regulations.
· Work in collaboration with cross-functional operation, technical and corporate teams to successfully manage large-scale projects such as continuous improvement initiatives, technology updates/upgrades, acquisitions/divestitures, etc.
· Oversees the successful management of payroll processing services to ensure that all employees in the region are paid on time and accurately and that related statutory and governmental duties are met. Drive successful tax reconciliation and year-end payroll processes.
· Oversees process improvements to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing, payroll tax reporting, payroll accounting, and record retention.
· Oversee all payroll compliance and SOX controls are effective and managed by defined policy and audit plans.
· Follow all GDPR and data confidentially requirements within defined policy and practices.
· Partner with Finance to ensure all data is efficiently managed into the finance system. Interacts, on a regular basis, with payroll and data vendors to work on changes, solutions, and improvements.
· Contributes to the regular operations review and quarterly business review of vendor performance relative to contractual Service Level Agreements (SLA).
· Develops, sets, and oversees the periodical payroll service performance dashboards and discuss it with the appropriate stakeholders.
· Coordinates the preparation, communication and education of key stakeholders and team on changes in payroll policies and practices.
· Consults closely with international business leaders and regional partner resource heads to establish payroll approaches and programs and ensures alignment with overall company policies, programs, and business objectives.
● Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, motivation, and communication. Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of changes in policies and procedures. Discusses areas needing improvement. Oversees the activities of Representatives. Assigns, schedules, and coordinates personnel.
● Maintains positive networking and relationships with senior program leaders and key stakeholders to ensure and influence program design and efficacy and build highly effective end to end processes.
● Supports the Global Payroll Process Owner driving a global payroll operations capability where possible.
● Conducts performance appraisals. Provides measurable feedback to assigned personnel and suggestions for improved performance. Formulates and implements employee corrective actions as needed. Should be able to coach, mentor and help all his/her direct reports to be motivated and engaged to grow their career with Genpact. Assists in interviewing and assigning new personnel as necessary.
● Ensures performance metrics are effective and professionally conducted. Representatives are properly trained, and customer service standards are at the highest level. All related records and reports are complete and current. Professional relations exist with customers, vendors, and other external business contacts.
● Communication and Presentations Skills: Should be able to communicate well with the clients and be able to present data post analysis.
● Problem Solving: Should be tactical and be able to solve day to day operations issues and should be able to understand Service Delivery metrics.
● Time Management: Should be able to manage his/her own time well and coach front line managers and agents’ staff to do the same.
● Out of box thinking: Use initiative and demonstrate creativity in solving problems for Genpact customers.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
● The successful candidate will have relevant work experience in multi-entity and multi-country payroll and data services delivery, relevant year of supervisory experience is required. BA degree in Finance, HR, Business Additionally, will have a great understanding of payroll system evaluation and implementation experience. Process improvement- project management experience and understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is mandatory. Fluent English is a must.

● The resource should have the ability to draw insights from data and trends, ability to visualize complex data trends in simple and easy to understand ideas and create themes to coach mentor agents.
● Strong knowledge in end-to-end HR processes and operations, employment laws and HR practices across serviced countries.
● Strong relationship building skills, problem-solving abilities, oral and written communication skills, and listening skills.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
● Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
● Knowledge of and ability to manage vendor relationships as they relate to 3rd party payroll service providers and service level agreements.
