We are looking for a Development Chemist to join our S&T AC EMEA team, based in Wrocław.
Your Challenges:
- Collaborating with your direct supervisor and experienced team members on the development, servicing, and optimization of specialty and wood coatings.
- Supporting the implementation of new and modified formulations and optimizing production processes at PPG facilities.
- Conducting tests aimed at reducing raw material portfolio complexity.
- Researching alternative raw materials.
- Testing and evaluating laboratory and commercial samples.
- Analyzing and assessing results, reporting completed work to the requestors, and proposing solutions and directions for further work to your supervisor.
Requirements:
- A university degree in chemistry or a related field is preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in the paint industry or working in a chemical laboratory.
- Knowledge of chemistry related to polymers, surfactants, dispersion, rheology, etc., is a plus.
- Communicative level of English.
- Good command of MS Office.
- A category B driving license is a plus.
- Openness and creativity; a positive mindset.
- Initiative and willingness to learn.
- Strong goal orientation and ability to work in a team; reliability.
