Who we are looking for
State Street Data Governance is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to manage quality assurance review of content in the Enterprise Data Governance Catalog for Critical Reports, Critical Data Sources, Data Dictionary, Data Lineage and Data Quality Control coverage to support BCBS 239 compliance. The role will be positioned in Poland but working as a part of Global CDO Op Model.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.
What you will be responsible for
As Data Catalog Content Assurance Lead you will
- Verify that content is captured correctly in Collibra Data Catalog to ensure compliance with State Street Data Governance Standards and BS239 RDAR framework requirements
- Identify any discrepancies or recommend improvements to the content to ensure critical data is captured clearly.
- Provide coaching / guidance to business unit data steward to update Collibra data catalog content in alignment with defined standards and best practices guidance.
- Support the BCBS 239 Critical report, metric and CDE data catalog scope and implementation planning activities.
- Conduct sample testing of Data Catalog content for Critical Reports and Critical Data Sources and report results to CDO data governance team to drive continuous improvement in Data Catalog content accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with other CDO members to achieve and maintain high-level of service.
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
- Strong understanding of data governance concepts, principles and practices including use of Data Catalog Tools (Collibra experience preferred).
- Prior data management and data governance experience with a large financial services firm.
- Proven ability to achieve success within a large organization, especially as it relates to data models, data taxonomy, data standards and data quality.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English is a must)
- Understanding of assurance/control frameworks
- Experience in managing remotely multiple projects
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to operate in diverse and dynamic business environment
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in Finance industry, Technology Business, Data, Access Management, Project Management, Business Analysis
- 5+ years in Data Governance role or in role with focus on data/business analysis and experience using Data Catalog (Collibra experience is preferred)
