The duties assigned to CPT Operator are varied; these include but are not limited to the following:
• The on-going incorporation of quality, health, safety and environmental principles into work practices, and the on-going commitment of resources to quality, health, safety and environment to be communicated between all levels of the organization and others.
• Promoting and participating in the Company’s 10 lifesaving rules and Observation Card Programme.
• Maintaining safety standard and participating in weekly meetings, Toolbox Talks and pre-shift safety meetings.
• Participating in Emergency Drills and being knowledgeable about how to use emergency or lifesaving equipment (Fire extinguisher, SCBA, EEBD, etc).
• Being familiar with the Integrated Management System (IMS)
• Assisting in, developing and implementing Risk Assessments as required.
• Knowing if CPT data and sampler recovery are of good quality.
• Being able to repair and maintain the system in case of malfunction.
• Being knowledge about the quality of CPT data and sampler recovery.
• Taking responsibility for the preparation, set-up, testing and maintenance of CPT tools and equipment used to acquire geotechnical data.
• Managing stock and requesting equipment necessary.
• Taking responsibility for the acquisition of high-quality geotechnical data.
• Assisting with the collation of relevant paperwork and reports.
• Being responsible for adherence to safety requirements according to the company’s HSE policies and local health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Any other duties deemed necessary, which are within the bounds of the incumbent’s competence and function.
