Role Description:
We are part of Allegro. As a Linguistic Quality Assurance Specialist you will be involved in the Translation Quality Assurance (TQA) program enabling the expansion of Allegro.pl services into the foreign markets.
Your main responsibilities:
- Reviewing and evaluating translated content, performing translation quality assessment
- Providing feedback to translators based on quality reports
- Identifying, documenting and correcting localization errors
- Creating and updating style guides, glossaries and other common guidelines
- Ensuring translation consistency in accordance with the language-specific guidelines
- Translation, proofreading and status update of translated projects
- Performing translation quality assessment and other data annotation for data in local languages and preparing annotation quality reports
- Machine translation error verification, creating and applying fixes
- Consulting on quality control tools and machine learning systems development
- Collecting requirements to prepare recommendations for localization of various content types
- Gathering internal know-how to improve the quality of provisioned services
We are looking for people with:
- Native or C2 knowledge of Slovak
- English C1 level
- Polish B1 level
- Experience using CAT Tools
- At least 2 years translation experience
The following are also a plus:
- Degree in Linguistics/Translation/Localization or related fields
- Ability to use metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes
- Experience with python scripting and text processing libraries
- Basic knowledge of regular expressions
- Ability to invent and simplify to enhance and expand use of existing tools, evaluating new tools and technologies for future development
- Experience in Marketing, creative writing
