Join Caterpillar’s global Procurement Operations team as a Contracting Procurement Professional. We are looking for 3 experienced professionals to join our team.
Contracting Procurement Professional – IT contracts: We are looking for someone who will help shape the future of IT contracting. In this role, you will manage end-to-end IT procurement contracts for the EAME region, with focus on U.S. and U.K. markets. You will lead negotiations, ensure compliance, and collaborate across global teams to support strategic business goals.
Contracting Procurement Professional – Italian speaker: If you are fluent in Italian and English to manage legal procurement documents for the EAME region, with a focus on Italy. You will lead negotiations, ensure full compliance, and work closely with internal teams and suppliers to streamline the contracting process.
Contracting Procurement Professional – Japanese speaker: If you are fluent in Japanese and English to manage legal procurement documents for the Japan and the EAME region, with a focus on Japan. You will lead negotiations, ensure full compliance, and work closely with internal teams and suppliers to streamline the contracting process.
Location: KATOWICE
What you’ll do:
Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts (e.g. MSAs, SOWs, Cloud & Software Agreements)
The person working with US stakeholders will handle IT contracts mainly, while the Italian and Japanese speakers will manage all categories based on request
Negotiate non-commercial terms (indemnity, liability, IP, confidentiality) with U.S./EAME.-based suppliers OR with our Japanese suppliers
Coordinate contract workflows, approvals, signatures, and storing in our contract lifecycle management system (NextGen)
Act as a point of contact for business stakeholders, suppliers and legal counsel
Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX requirements, and procurement standards
Support continuous improvement initiatives and analyze contract lifecycle performance
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree required (law degree is especially preferred)
Multiple years of experience in contract negotiation and strong knowledge of procurement processes and contract structure (IT-related and contracting experience is essential for the IT-focused role)
Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken (Italian knowledge is essential for the person supporting the EAME region, and Japanese knowledge is essential for the person supporting Japan)
Solid knowledge of procurement systems
Strong organisational and project management skills and significant attention to detail while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making skills
High ethical standards, interpersonal and collaborative approach
For the IT-focused role we are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working in shifts to support the US market: either 7:00–9:00 a.m. to 3:00–5:00 p.m. CET or 12:00–8:00 p.m. CET
Stakeholder management skills
For the Japanese speaker role we are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working from 6:00 a.m. to 2:000 p.m. CET
Stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated initiative, good judgment and accountability
Top candidates will also have:
Law degree
Experience in shared services or international procurement
Familiarity with tools such as Coupa, NextGen
Understanding of procurement and legal compliance standards in the EAME and the U.S. regions
Prior experience providing contracting support for a public company
