We are looking for a strategic and analytical Commodity Buyer to join our purchasing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing a robust supplier base, driving cost optimization, and supporting cross-functional initiatives. Your responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commodity strategies aligned with company goals
- Build and manage a global supplier panel in line with automotive standards
- Lead cross-functional projects with departments such as Quality, Legal, Finance, and Development
- Analyze supplier capabilities, conduct audits, and build supplier roadmaps
- Create cost models and drive productivity initiatives
- Negotiate and manage framework agreements with strategic suppliers
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and purchasing policies
- Handle RFQs, supplier capacity planning, and performance monitoring
- Support project buyers during negotiations and manage supplier-related crises
Our requirements:
- Proven experience in commodity or strategic purchasing, preferably in the automotive sector
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Experience in supplier development and contract management
- Knowledge of procurement processes and cost modeling
- Ability to manage cross-functional projects and work in a global environment
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO9001, IATF16949) is a plus
