About the Role
As CISO, you’ll own and shape Solidgate’s entire security strategy, embedding Information Security by Design across the company. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with other C-level leaders to set security goals, influence strategy, and ensure cybersecurity is understood at every level.
This role is bigger than compliance - it’s about architecture, engineering, and making security a core enabler of the business. You’ll need sharp technical expertise, strong leadership, and exceptional communication skills to translate complex security challenges into actionable business decisions.
What you’ll be doing
— Shaping a security-first culture across engineering – security isn’t an afterthought, it’s how we build
— Owning the audit process end-to-end – from prep to closing every vulnerability
— Evolving dev processes so every feature ships with security baked in
— Leading and growing world-class Blue and Red Teams – Application Security, Pen Testing, InfoSec, and DevSecOps
— Driving the design of mission-critical features and products with security at the core – think RBAC, internal auth, DDoS protection, and more
— Building and scaling our compliance program across ISO 27001, SOC 2 (Type 1 & 2), DORA, and beyond
— Partnering with stakeholders at all levels – from engineers and senior management to Legal & Compliance – and making complex security simple
What you’ll need
— 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a strong track record in ownership roles
— Deep expertise in cloud security, especially AWS (including IAM)
— Strong grasp of the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
— Hands-on knowledge of RBAC, Zero Trust, and AWS Inspector
— Experience driving end-to-end security audits and scaling compliance programs
— Basic programming skills – able to understand, review, and contribute to code when needed
— Experience hiring, leading, and scaling top-tier InfoSec teams
— Exceptional communication skills – able to break down complex concepts into plain language and work effectively with people across all functions, from engineers to senior stakeholders
— A bias for action and the ability to make security a company-wide priority
— Full ownership mentality – no hand-holding, no babysitting
— Comfortable learning fast and figuring things out on your own
Nice to have
— Solid hands-on programming skills
— Hands-on experience with GitLab CI
— Familiarity with Terraform
