Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Analytical Chemist is responsible for conducting accurate and reliable analytical tests in accordance with established company protocols, ASTM procedures, and other accepted methodologies. This role involves performing chemical studies and experiments on organic and/or inorganic compounds and materials, supporting research, production, and operational projects with basic technical knowledge and laboratory techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine analytical tests with precision and adherence to standard procedures.
- Conduct chemical experiments and studies on various compounds and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and experimental data.
- Assist in the development and validation of analytical methods.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and production initiatives.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field with up to 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Chemistry.
- Basic understanding of analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with ASTM standards and laboratory best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with chromatography, spectroscopy, or titration methods.
- Knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain analytical equipment
