The Role
An inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees is looking for a Budget Controller. Your responsibilities will be to oversee the planning, management, and control of the A&P budget at the market and cluster level. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for the CLT team, addressing all relevant topics within this area of responsibility.
Principle Accountabilities
- Provide strategic support to budget managers, guiding planning processes and coordinating annual budget development.
- Create and review detailed cost plans, identifying risks and proposing adjustments, especially in brand and trade marketing.
- Contribute to cross-functional and international projects, offering cost-benefit analyses and recommendations.
- Deliver regular reports on budget performance, variances, and corrective actions for senior management.
- Oversee A&P budget execution, month-end/year-end closings, and LE processes, ensuring alignment with internal and external requirements.
- Handle ad hoc budget inquiries, coordinate audits, and review contracts within assigned areas.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with a strong track record of delivering actionable insights.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration across diverse teams.
- Analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of SAP is highly desirable.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are preferable
