About the Role
As an Associate Test Engineer, you will support the quality assurance process by executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring software functionality meets requirements. This role contributes to delivering high-quality test results that align with business needs. You will be reporting to multiple teams in different locations within the SW-Update team. This role also requires making real-time priorities as you will be involved in multiple tasks given from different teams.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to test strategy and test plan development activities during planning and preparation phase.
- Review software requirements regarding testability and verification criteria.
- Create/update test cases based on new and updated software requirements and defects.
- Setup test environment and keep environment up to date.
- Execute software test cases (manual and automatic) according to defined test run and record test results.
- Record defects for failed test cases and process defects within defect management system.
- Reproduce defects and verify solution.
- Optional: Create or assist in creating test automation.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Basic knowledge of software test methodologies and tools.
- English language skills allowing for smooth communication in a multinational environment.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience in embedded software engineering and testing.
- Knowledge of automotive software and tools.
- Knowledge of one of the coding languages such as C, C++, C#, python.
- Knowledge of device drivers, USB, TCP/IP and Ethernet.
- Knowledge of automotive test frameworks.
- ISTQB Foundation certificate.
- Knowledge of defect management rules and tools.
- Knowledge of test case development and automation.
- Knowledge of used build and development tools.
