Boeing Poland is seeking for an Associate Electrical Power Design & Analysis Engineer who will provide engineering expertise across the Boeing portfolio of products, to include – but not limited to - Boeing Military Aircraft, Military Derivative Aircraft, Boeing Defense & Space product family. This position is located in Warsaw or Rzeszow, Poland.
Successful candidates will be responsible for performing analyses to ensure safe and appropriate electrical power loading for various systems on a multitude of air and space platforms recognized around the world. The engineers will also provide electrical system power knowledge to design and modification efforts of products being developed throughout Boeing.
As an Electrical Power Design & Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall design of the physical electrical wiring systems. You will support the development and maintenance of cable and wire harness detail and assembly designs, ensuring that our electrical systems meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the design process from concept through to production, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Position Responsibilities:
Coordinate, test, and verify Electrical Power requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects through the development and sustainment of various Boeing systems
Review supplier and partner qualification data to ensure compliance with Boeing and FAA electrical power requirements
Perform Electrical Loads Analysis (ELA) on a multitude of platforms in accordance with MIL-E-7016 and MIL-STD-704
Lead and coordinate work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
Solve issues with fielded hardware and software and provide comprehensive support throughout the entire product lifecycle
Support project management by tracking and reporting project status, by generating bids and requirements, and by providing work statements, budget, and schedule
Assist with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements
Assist with the development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications
Design and architect electrical wiring systems for Mobility, Surveillance and Bomber aircraft
Develop and maintain detailed cable and wire harness designs, including assembly instructions and specifications
Analyze design results and lead design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
Provide engineering design disposition on discrepancies, including rejection tags, production action requests, and shop revision requests
Document processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities
Develop complex statements of work, metrics, schedules, and budgets to guide project execution
Perform technical reviews of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection and ensure alignment with project needs
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential issues and propose solutions
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation in electrical system design
Working under general supervision, supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
Model the power generation, storage, and dissipation behavior of the Electrical Power Subsystem under various mission scenarios
Identify, track, and status technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements
Conduct detailed trade studies and generate reports to communicate engineering recommendations
Lead development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications
Develop automated test equipment to support aircraft test requirements
Export Control Requirements: This is an export control position. Meaning:
1) Position may be export controlled
2) Government authorization may be required
3) Employment contingent upon meeting trade control requirements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
2 or more years' related work experience
Familiar with Electrical Loads Analysis (ELA) concepts, MIL-E-7016 with experience in electrical wiring system design and architecture
Knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and regulations with great attention to detail
Fluent in both written and verbal English.
Experience in developing and maintaining cable and wire harness detail and assembly designs for complex projects.
Experience using power measurement test and measurement instrumentation (such as power supplies, power meters, and analyzers)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Knowledge of requirements development and following a gated process methodology
Experience in the design, analysis, integration and verification of Electrical Power generation, distribution and/or regulation systems
Knowledge and experience establishing, designing, and verifying Power Quality requirements and testing in accordance with MIL-STD-704
Experience with power simulation tools
Experience with software scripting / programming languages for office products, test equipment program and / or modeling tools
Previous experience in Electrical Power Design and Analysis
Familiarity with simulation tools and modeling techniques.
Project management experience is a plus.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)using systems engineering principles
Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci), Mentor Capital and Electrical Load Analysis Tool (eLAT)
Additional Requirement:
The individual will be required to obtain clearance for work under military concession (regulated by act of 13 June 2019 on conducting business activities in the field of manufacturing and trading in explosives, weapons, ammunition and products and technology for military or police purposes).
