We are looking for a motivated AP Junior Accountant to support tasks within accounts payable, and assist with areas such as accounts receivable, payroll, credit, collections, billing, and invoicing. Join our amazing AP Decorative team located in Gdansk, Poland to support the organization with professional accounting.
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring the quality and timely processing of invoices and following up on invoice approvals, liaising with business stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies
- Assisting in the preparation and detailed review of postings for accuracy (e.g., cost centres, business units, VAT codes) before month-end close
- Actively reconciling accounts, including: reviewing vendor statements and payment reminders, collecting missing invoices/documents, monitoring timely approvals in the invoice workflow system, and responding to inquiries from other departments
- Performing monthly, accurate AP–GL reconciliations, accrual postings, and currency revaluations
- Conducting quarterly reviews of open transactions on vendor accounts, contacting vendors, and taking necessary actions to clear outstanding balances
- Preparing ad-hoc reports and maintaining up-to-date process documentation for all accounting records
- Partnering with other teams, such as Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Credit & Collections, to ensure smooth financial operations
You are right fit if:
- You have 1–2 years of professional experience in a similar role — or are a freshly graduate with relevant studies
- You hold a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- You are proficient in English (written and spoken, minimum B2 level)
- You have strong attention to detail and solid analytical thinking skills
- You are a proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic environment
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage
