Job Description
The Validation Product Lead drives the validation efforts for SSD products, focusing on planning, communication, and coordination of test ramp activities. This role involves forecasting needs, leading infrastructure setup, prioritizing and documenting test ramp activities, contributing to product development teams, ensuring milestone criteria are met, providing technical input, approving firmware releases, reviewing decisions, communicating requirements, and coordinating between various teams. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in firmware validation or product development, along with strong leadership, communication, and technical skills. Proficiency in Python programming language is a must.
Position Overview: The Validation Product Lead is responsible for driving the firmware validation efforts for SSD products. This role focuses on planning and communication around test ramp activities, which include both hardware and software. The lead interacts with various teams such as Firmware, Product Development, Product Validation, and System Integration to facilitate development and ensure milestone criteria can be met through product release qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecasting Needs: Predict requirements for new programs, including new capital equipment and test capabilities.
- Infrastructure Leadership: Lead the setup of infrastructure with the Execution Team and tools team, covering both software and hardware.
- Test Ramp Activities: Prioritize, communicate, document, and drive test ramp activities.
- Product Development Contribution: Work with Firmware Project Management to have a larger voice in all product development teams.
- Milestone Criteria: Ensure milestone criteria are met.
- Technical Input: Provide main technical input to Execution Sync, including prioritization, configuration, and management.
- Firmware Releases Approval: Approve and sign-off on firmware releases through the Critical Design Review process, ensuring compatibility checks for previous programs.
- Review and Decision Making: Review and make decisions for the validation organization.
- Requirements Communication: Communicate product requirements and test coverage needs to domain leads.
- Coordination: Coordinate between the Validation Organization and teams such as Firmware, Product Validation, System Integration, Test Development, and Execution.
- Side Run Activity: Coordinate side run activities, ensuring the test plan is provided by the Validation Product Lead.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in firmware validation, product development, or a related field.

Additional Information
This role is a 12-month contract as maternity leave coverage, with the potential to extend up to 18 months.
