Trade Finance Analyst (f/m/x)

Trade Finance Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end accounting processing of trade expenditures for selected countries (Belgium, Switzerland and Austria). It requires proactive checks of the right accounting treatments and correctness vs. trade agreements made with the customers. Additionally, he/she is actively involved in the coordination and execution during the implementations of new systems and process improvements for Trade area.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Monthly updates of accruals based on contract modifications and negotiations.
Estimating the Net Sales Value (NSV) for each segment and country.
Performing specific activities related to pre-closing and month-end closing.
Acting as the contact point for external and internal audits regarding the Trade area.
Reviewing actual Trade budgets together with Business Partners (BPs) and Key Account Managers (KAMs).
Creating and analyzing Trade reporting for MS BEACH.
Maintaining and entering invoice list discounts for MS BEACH in Atlas.
Reducing open deductions, for example by following up with Sales and Logistics teams.
Ensuring correct profit center accounting at MFS, particularly for cross-segment postings such as trade/price claims and pre-payments.
Executing ICE controls and providing evidence for these controls.
Serving as the Finance Key User and Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Visualfabriq, which includes testing system updates, communicating system errors, acting as the contact person for finance-related end-user questions, conducting training, and ensuring compliance with the Trade Term Policy to guarantee data conformity.
Checking Trade conditions across various systems (Visualfabriq, SAP) and clarifying any deviations. These deviations may be caused by different payment types (credit memos, deductions, debit notes, internal postings), which the job holder must understand.
What are we looking for?
University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related fields.
3-5 years relevant professional experience in Trade Accounting.
Experience with key systems such as SAP, advanced Excel/Power BI.
Professional experience in Shared Services and Multi Legal Entities environment is an advantage.
Working experience in Project Management, Process Design and Change Management is nice to have.
Fluent English is a must (knowledge of French and German will be a plus).
