Role Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
Configure, optimize, and maintain Snowflake environments
Monitor performance, resolve incidents, and enforce best practices
Manage user roles, access policies, and data security protocols
Support routine operations through automation and scripting
Ensure platform scalability, high availability, and cost-effectiveness
Architectural Duties:
Lead design conversations with technical teams and stakeholders
Develop scalable, secure Snowflake data architectures
Create architectural blueprints and documentation
Establish governance frameworks for usage, cost, and performance
Align Snowflake solutions with business goals and data strategies
Support analytics and engineering teams with Snowflake implementations
Stay current with Snowflake enhancements and guide strategic upgrades
Mentor technical teams on platform architecture and principles
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture and administration
Strong SQL proficiency and experience in performance tuning
Experience in ETL processes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and cost optimization
Knowledge of data governance, security, encryption, and compliance frameworks
Proven ability to troubleshoot platform issues and resolve complex problems
Prior experience in Snowflake architecture
Valid Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core or higher)
Preferred Skills:
Experience in data modeling and analytics reporting
Data migration experience
Knowledge of performance tuning for enterprise data solutions
