Principle duties and essential functions
The Technical Services Engineer is an essential role within Adtran’s Professional Services EMEA team located in Gdynia, Poland.
The successful candidate will support Adtran’s technology in the pre-sales and post-sales stage with direct customer contact. As a Technical Services Engineer, you will be the technical point of contact for local and EMEA customers and consult in finding solutions for their requests. A further key responsibility is to provide technology trainings on our products to partners and customers. This position will offer an opportunity to work within an international team and travel within Poland and the EMEA region.
The Professional Services Team is trained to support Adtran’s whole product spectrum.
Other tasks and responsibilities
Act as technical point of contact for customers
Prepare Network Design documentation for trials and deployments, working together with the Sales Engineering teams
Support customers, produce network documentation and host technology workshops and trials
On-site and remote deployment support
Become an expert across the Adtran product spectrum and train customers on Adtran´s products
Produce Signal Flow Diagrams using Microsoft Visio
Project lead Technical Services staff and external contractors
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Experience in Technical Support or other Technical Service related department in the Telecom or IT business sector
Working knowledge on fiber optics, LAN, SAN, DWDM, Ethernet, and Server OS
Knowledge about Passive Optical Networks (XGS-PON) or Synchronization Network Equipment is beneficial
Good presentation and communication skills
Good written and spoken Polish and English language skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Willingness to travel
