In this role, you will be a key member of the Logistics Operations Hub, directly involved in orchestrating real-time global material flows and refining digital processes that support Moderna’s GDP-compliant logistics network. You will operate at the intersection of logistics, automation, and analytics, driving system integration and workflow excellence across SAP, Control Tower, and visibility platforms. Acting as a first-line super-user and internal systems expert, you will enable our network to remain agile, compliant, and data-driven—supporting distribution with digital-first solutions and robust performance monitoring. This position offers a unique opportunity to integrate cutting-edge logistics technologies and collaborate across internal and external networks, while also getting close to the evolution of Generative AI tools applied to logistics process automation.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Your key responsibilities will be:
Serve as daily super-user for SAP, Control Tower, and real-time visibility tools—designing and improving system reports and supporting cross-functional enhancements.
Ensure efficient, GDP-compliant material flow, including transport bookings, customs clearance, export documentation, and product distribution.
Track global shipments in real time, identify delays, and drive resolution through active collaboration with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
Monitor Logistics Service Provider (LSP) performance, identify trends through dashboards, and support continuous-improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and cost.
Maintain and manage lane mapping, packaging specifications, and master data in SAP and Control Tower systems.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Coordinate API/EDI interface initiatives and support implementation of automation (e.g., RPA, AI agents) for real-time process optimization and enhanced visibility.
Configure and refine KPI dashboards and self-service reporting tools that enable proactive and data-backed decision-making.
Lead UAT (user acceptance testing), create training content, and provide hands-on coaching to internal teams and 3PL partners on system capabilities.
Maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality System records aligned with best-practice digital workflows and GDP/GMP compliance.
Act as the logistics systems representative in broader cross-functional projects, providing both operational logistics insight and digital expertise.
Contribute to audit readiness by supporting the generation of digital compliance evidence across the network.
Carry out other responsibilities as required, supporting Moderna’s fast-moving logistics landscape.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience within Distribution/Logistics and/or Supply Chain
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
BS/BA Degree is preferred (Supply Chain/Operations/Logistics or Business Management).
Strong preference towards Pharmaceutical and Biotech experience. Experience working in a cGMP and cGDP environment Good understanding of the Pharma industry & Supply Chain
Must demonstrate a strong understanding and knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations as well as customs handling for import / export.
Prior experience with transportation of biopharmaceutical medicines is a plus
Previous experience in SAP or related ERP system is required.
Experience of logistics software (transport management system, warehouse management system, visibility tools)
Experience with automation and AI tools is a big plus
Demonstrate a strong and independent work ethic.

Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
