Detailed Responsibilities:
Understand, analyze business and technical requirements, with testability and test approaches.
Provides the planning, integration, casing, scripting, and execution of all testing required of a single software change or project or program.
Independently develops test plan documents, writes and executes automation scripts, analyze manual test cases etc.
Recommend automated test design best suited for the projects, write test cases/scripts, execute test automation tools/scripts.
Lead implementation of test automation within existing Python / Pytest based framework.
Develop and maintain tests and/or workflow usage, test environment, test cases/test data, test plans, with limited assistance and the ability to work independently.
Generate test reporting using company standard methods, analyze defects for improvement.
Diagnose and resolve technical and operational problems on test systems or products.
Guide consultants with automated testing efforts and share knowledge (both domain/technical) across the wider Platform Multicloud distribution teams.
Participate in planning and estimating efforts in the squad as well as planning and execution of on-going QA requirements.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsible for communicating accurately the status of ongoing work to stakeholders recommends improvements to the testing processes to create efficiencies.
Tech Profile/Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related fields.
Solid hands on experience in Test Automation suites – Python / Pytest, Postman and Postman Test scripts, JMeter.
Ability to develop test frameworks and test scripts for API testing.
Proven experience in automation testing and reporting.
Experience in implementing automation testing from scratch and producing test reports for wider teams.
Experience of test automation setup of multi-tier, on prem and cloud based integrated solutions, include API, database, end to end integrations.
Experience of DevOps tooling including GitLab, pipelines. Understanding of CICD methodology.
Good communication, verbal and written in English.
Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and being proactive in delivering results.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Cloud Testing experiences (Azure,AWS).
Knowledge of Robot Test Framework.
Technical skills and knowledge on SQL, Snowflake, Vectorwise etc
Experience working with Jenkins , Test Rail , JIRA and Confluence or similar tools.
Understanding of financial markets, experience testing financial software a plus.
Any performance tools or metrics usage are an addition but not required.
Stays up to date with the best tooling and emerging technologies.
