We invite you to join our dynamically growing company, which specializes in breeding new varieties of cereals such as hybrid rye, wheat, barley and oats and producing high-quality seed for them. We are currently looking for a person to join the Rye Breeding Department for an attractive position: Senior Field Trials & Phenotyping Expert (m/f/d) to join our Kondratowice/Poland location on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, organizing, and carrying out work related to rye phenotyping and selection
- Organizing and performing observations in field trials, observation rows, and isolated plots
- Planning and analyzing routine and special multi-environmental experimental series using company software
- Organization of post-harvest processing and preparation for sowing of breeding material in experiments, including preparation of relevant documentation in the database
- Acting as a communication interface for phenotyping and special breeding programs between rye breeding stations throughout the company
Requirements:
- Completed master's or doctoral degree in plant breeding, agricultural sciences or related field
- Deep interest in and knowledge of design and analysis of experiments
- Willingness to further expand expertise
- High level of commitment, flexibility and resistance to stress
- Ability to lead a team and cooperate in a group
- Organizational skills, independence of thought and action
- Ability to work with computers (MS Office package, databases and statistical programs)
- Fluency in Polish and communicative knowledge of English
- Driving license of category B and readiness for short-term trips in the country and abroad (15%)
