Overview:
SOFTSWISS is hiring a QA Engineer to join our Level 3 Support team for the Online Casino Platform - the company’s flagship product.
About Product:
We invite you to take the challenge and join our L3 team of the Online Casino Platform, the leading product of the company. It serves to manage all the online casino processes behind the scenes, including players, games, payments, bets, bonuses, tournaments, lotteries, and so on. Casino Platform is a Ruby-based high-load solution with lots of services and integrations built with a focus on security and stability. While you are reading this text, our web application has successfully processed 120,000 requests in one casino only. By the way, we have more than 100 ones.
The product is in the active product development phase; it’s being actively developed and enhanced with new functionality and features. Our current stack:
- Backend: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Sidekiq, Redis, WebSockets
- Technologies and Tools: Docker, K8S, MinIO, Vault, Swagger, Dry-rb, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
- Monitoring: Datadog, Zabbix, Sentry, Kibana

In the L3 team, we support our product in the most advanced technical way by:
- Resolving, analysing, and preventing the most difficult issues by improving usability, architecture, and processes
- Providing reliability and improving the performance of the Casino Platform product
- Automation and simplification of repetitive operations
Purpose of the role:
You will investigate and resolve complex issues to maintain the Casino Platform’s stability and performance, while proactively preventing future problems through analysis, automation, and process improvements, supporting scalability in a high-load, security-focused environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with the team of developers to investigate and resolve customer issues, focusing on preventing them in the future.
- Prepare testing documentation.
- Use your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex customer issues and provide solutions that meet customer expectations and our SLAs.
- Continuously improve your knowledge of testing methodologies, technologies, and tools, and share your learnings and best practices with the team.
- Continuously growing your depth of knowledge on the products you support.
Required Experience:
- Experience as a QA Engineer (1+ years of commercial experience in web and backend testing is a must).
- Comprehensive understanding of QA processes and SDLC.
- High-level analytical skills and critical thinking.
- Taking ownership of tasks and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to read logs and identify critical information.
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Good understanding of API testing.
- Experience writing and working with test documentation.
- Familiarity with Linux, Bash, and Git.
- Experience with logging (ELK) and monitoring systems (Sentry, Datadog).
- Fluent (B1+) Russian language skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka).
- English level: Intermediate and higher.
