Pay Range: $18.00/hr. - $21.76/hr. ($37,440 - $45,253 annually)

A Property Control Attendant job is available with the City of Fort Worth Police Department Auto Pound Unit. You will be responsible for contributing to the Department’s strategic goals, mission and vision by performing a variety of duties of a routine nature relative to the receipt, inspection and inventory of incoming impounded vehicles. You will report to the Property Control Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift and Auto-impound experience.
- Customer service skills.
- Experience working with property inventory and inspection.
- Bilingual (Spanish).
The Property Control Attendant job responsibilities include:
- Inventory property and inspect impounded vehicles for damage; document information on an impound card; escort wrecker to storage lot and ensure vehicles reach assigned parking locations.
- Escort all wreckers, customers retrieving vehicles, attorneys and insurance representatives on lot; locate vehicles and list all property removed from vehicle; ensure release of correct vehicle.
- Prepare and move unclaimed vehicles to designated auction areas for public online auction.
- Maintain facility grounds.
- Provide upkeep and care of City vehicles.

Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
