Scope:
The role supports coordination between the Purchasing function and platform teams (engineering/manufacturing/supply chain) for the development and serial production of vehicles. This includes responsibility of a dedicated perimeter, supporting the purchasing team during supplier selection, managing suppliers, coordinating multidisciplinary teams during project development, carrying out supplier relationships, and ensuring appropriate actions to guarantee observance of contracts.
Your responsibilities:
- Supplier kick-off after supplier award is confirmed
- Negotiate potential volume increases during development
- Control and negotiate the impact of changes during development, with a focus on economic negotiations and timing
- Final Start of Production price release, including project changes notices
- Detect troubled suppliers and potential shortages then follow up with stakeholders to support escalation
- Support Supplier Quality teams to meet capacity and quality convergence targets
- Lead summary meetings with suppliers and key internal stakeholders
- Work with cross functional specialty teams to manage negotiations
Main deliverables:
- Achieve Total Production Cost Targets
- Negotiate Quality Cost technical performance terms and Engineering Changes
- Guarantee the Supplier Tool Kick off
- Open or obtain the orders at the right time
- Achieve the Final Price targets according to the project needs
- Monitor prices and supplier’s capacities during development phase
Our Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, cost engineering, or a related field
- High Proficiency in negotiation skills
- Familiarity with RFQ processes, manufacturing procurement processes, cost analysis
- Proficiency in software like MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- High proficiency in English, strong communication abilities to support internal stakeholders and global supplier discussion
- Experience with project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of program-related purchasing tasks
