Project Overview:
We are currently looking for a highly experienced Oracle Database Engineer to join a strategic project for one of our key financial sector clients. The role focuses on ensuring continuous service for Oracle-based applications, handling implementation, validation, troubleshooting, and full environment management across pre-production and production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing the prePROD environment to enable FSFO (Fast-Start Failover)
- Synchronizing and troubleshooting DataGuard issues
- Rebuilding standby databases when necessary
- Creating new databases and database services (CDB/PDB)
- Performing PDB-level service validation
- Migrating old PDBs to new containers
- Activating and testing FSFO (Switchover and Failover)
- Applying database patches
- Handling RAC-related issues including DR (Disaster Recovery) scenarios
- Performing Unix-level changes (processes, load management, daemons)
- Setting up Oracle GoldenGate microservices and OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager)
- Implementing changes in production environments
- Providing post-implementation support and executing rollback if needed
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience managing Oracle Database versions 12c to 19c in production (including RAC, ASM, DataGuard)
- Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems
- Proficiency in Oracle management tools: RMAN, Data Pump, DataGuard
- Strong troubleshooting skills in FSFO, RAC, and DataGuard environments
- Experience in architecture planning and service lifecycle management
- Ability to independently handle database services, incident and change management
- Solid understanding of Oracle GoldenGate (including downstream processing, service start/stop)
- Familiarity with Oracle SR handling and OEM monitoring architecture
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and in teams
