We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanic to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft, including the CH-47 Chinook. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and involves ensuring mission readiness, equipment upkeep, and compliance with technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aircraft Maintenance: Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs in accordance with technical publications and company policies.
- CH-47 Chinook Expertise: Maintain and troubleshoot twin-engine tandem rotor systems, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Operational Readiness: Assist in keeping aircraft in top-flight condition, ensuring reliability for operations.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Provide on-the-job training (OJT) to customer trainees, helping them build self-sufficiency in aircraft maintenance.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities following DA PAM 738-751 and technical manuals.
- Crew Member Support: May assist in Maintenance Test Flights, Operational Checks, and the use of diagnostic equipment (subject to medical clearance).
- General Support: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Lead.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate (or equivalent industry certification).
- High School Diploma (Aircraft maintenance school or military training preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of aviation maintenance experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience on CH-47 Chinook.
- Proficiency in common and specialized tools, test equipment, and ground support gear.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
