Legal Counsel / Legal and Compliance Manager

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Legal Counsel / Legal and Compliance Manager who will join the Polish team. The purpose of this role is to taking responsibility for the legal and compliance agenda throughout Twisto in Poland and participation in international projects.

As Legal Counsel you will be responsible for:

• Compliance:

  1. Corporate governance (e.g. drafting, developing, maintaining and reviewing internal policies,procedures and rules that help the company work effectively and in line with the regulations and law);

  2. Preparation of consumer documentation within the Twisto portfolio;

  3. Legal support to the AML Office;

  4. Supervision over the GDPR requirements fulfilment, along with the international data transfers within the capital group companies;

  5. Implementation and monitoring of legislative changes also on EU level (PSD2, PSD3, CCD2, PSR, DORA).

• Legal:

  1. Representing company before authority;

  2. Managing relationships and services from external legal contractors and intragroup contracts;

  3. Drafting and negotiating contracts with various counterparties (business partners, influencers, …);

  4. Preparation of meeting of bodies of Twisto (including coordination with the notary and Commercial Register);

  5. Cooperation with the internal teams in the creation and development of Twisto's products and offerings, taking into account regulatory and compliance aspects.

• Customers

  1. Solving complex legal complaints and requests of customers;

  2. Take every opportunity to improve compliance performance.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in law;

• Min. 5 year of experience in a similar position in the payment institution regulation (e.g. PSD 2, EBA guidelines, Act on payment services).

• Experience in the Consumer protection law and Consumer loan law;

• Experience in the payment institution regulation (for example PSD 2, EBA guidelines, Act on payment services (Desirable);

• Experience in the Financial/ Payment Services / Consumer Credit law (Desirable);

• Knowledge of the Corporate and Contract law;

• Knowledge of the Payment Services, Consumer Credit, Personal Data Protection and AML law;

• Ability to combine practical skills and business knowledge to achieve established business goals;

• Ability to understand broad business issues;

• English, Polish –  min. C1 level;

• Independence and ownership

• Commercial awareness;

• Nice to have - experience in team management.
